Sunset in WA Part 2
I really hate the way that blogs are backwards. This is part 2 but you see it first. I guess if I am going to post a bunch of pictures, I should do them in reverse order. That's stupid. These blogs sure aren't very composable. Sure they're made of bite-sized posts, but the end result is out of sequence unless I do it backwards. Yuck.

Anyway, by now (since this is one of several pictures on this blog (though it's the first you see--I guess that's your problem and not the paradigm's?)) you've observed that I really like sunbeams (scroll down to see the pictures you've already seen by the time you read this? I really don't like this backwardism).

Yep - I sure do like sunbeams. They're many wonderful and holy things to me. They've always represented my creator. Also, they are my mind's eye's picture of how my love and I love each other. I love her like this :-)

Another thing to notice is that Picasa mangles image when you use it to post pictures using Blogger. It's actually pretty amazing the level of integration these separate pieces have achieved and they speak very intelligently about what an Enterprise Architecture can do when applied intelligently. We've got a lot to fear from Google for the fact they get this and that all their pieces seem to talk to each other a very short time after becoming functional, all while delivering real value.

Food for thought...

Sunset in WA
This is what sunset looked like by my house on July 12, 2005. It was pretty. I really like the way the bottoms of the clouds looked like they were on fire, don't you?

Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, OR
This is the famous rock on the Oregon coast, as seen from the balcony of the Hallmark resort.

Sunset at the Oregon coast

This is the view from the balcony at the hotel where we stayed on vacation over the summer. Sunset was beautiful that night, wasn't it?

My first picture post
OK so I finally figured how to post a picture or two on this blog, and so here are a few. This is the first one. Here's a picture from the Oregon coast. We stayed at a hotel right on the beach, and this was the evening's entertainment. It's something else, isn't it?

I want to learn how to post some pictures on this thing. I shouldn't be thinking about it now since I should be sleeping and I don't feel well and have a busy day tomorrow. Ah well. I don't see anything here that will help me. Perhaps all I have to do is paste in a picture? That doesn't seem to work. I will have to look into this some more. Maybe I should just use snapfish or ezprints or something.

Well, it sure has been a long time since I have entered anything in blog land. The reason is that after my long period of down time (actually only about half as long as expected, but it sure felt long at the time), I have been back at work, and that's been a complete rollercoaster ride. Note that I love rollercoasters, generally, especially if they loop around and turn you upside down and do corkscrews and have really long trains. But, I digress. Since going back to work, my free time has been spent cursing Peter Jackson for what he's done to some of my favorite fiction and discovering the depth of writing talent available in the works of one Lois McMaster Bujold. Her website is The Bujold Nexus - The Lois McMaster Bujold Homepage and is worth a visit. Her work is fantastic, and by the way, it's teratogenic, not genetic.

Microsoft releases tool for automatic deployment of server OS. What does this mean? Why am I rambling on about automatic deployment tools in the middle of the night?

This is the first entry in my blog. Do I have enough to say to make an interesting blog? I don't know. I guess we're going to find out, eh?

I have a website at this location: Ahmad's home. I hope you will drop in and visit. Sign my guestbook. Check out my 8 year old broken links. That website is older than my niece.

Now the interesting thing about that is that some of the links were dead a couple of days after I put the website up, and I haven't deleted or fixed them. I consider myself a web dramatist.

I don't know how this is going to work. It occurs to me that each of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear reactor on his back...

Actually, what occurs to me is this: with each new entry in my blog, this text will move lower and lower down the list. Eventually you won't have the patience to scoll down far enough to see it. Should this be in teh blog description? But then what about all the text I want to show in that box? Isn't it pretty small ^ up there and over that way -> where it's got a border around it?
